Last night actor Jodie Comer attended the London premiere of The Bikeriders. The classic balmy London wasn't inspiring summertime neon manis—instead, Comer went for something a bit more subdued, Chanel’s Rouge Noir.
Nail expert Jenni Draper, responsible for the former British Vogue cover star’s manicure and pedicure for the event, explained “the inspiration came from the Westwood dress, as the color of the dress was a perfect hue for a dark nail. Chanel’s Rouge Noir is always my go-to shade when it comes to choosing a dark, berry nail.”
To create the manicure, Draper used tools to file the nails into a gently rounded shape before applying two coats of Rouge Noir. She then used Le Gel topcoat for a glossy, plump finish, before matching the toes with the same shade.
If anyone can convince us to go dark for summer and forgo the greens, chromes, and rainbow tips we’ve been seeing of late, then Comer can.
