See Inside Vogue Club and MUBI’s Screening of High & Low - John Galliano
As a late April evening in London drew to a close, Vogue Club members descended in force on The Cinema at Selfridges for a special screening of High & Low - John Galliano presented by MUBI in collaboration with Vogue Club.
With the lights lowered and the cocktails flowing, there was no shortage of conversation as members new and old flooded the cinema’s private bar before the screening to rekindle friendships and make new connections amidst a selection of fizz before the night’s main event: US Vogue columnist Raven Smith joined forces with Vogue Acting European Fashion Features Director Julia Hobbs to introduce the film, which is dedicated to the life and looks of the virtuosic, controversial designer John Galliano.
As the film rolled, Clubbers enjoyed complimentary popcorn and a tote bag filled with gifts supplied by MUBI. Post-screening, Vogue’s Film and Culture Editor Radhika Seth joined Julia and Raven for a thorough breakdown of the movie's biggest talking points (Raven also ad-libbed an amazing imitation of Kate Moss’ runway walk.)
Missed the event? Well, you’re in luck: You can now stream the Galliano doc—along with a wide selection of carefully curated films—at the tap of your finger on MUBI now. What's more: If you're a Vogue Club member, you get a complimentary 90-day subscription to MUBI's streaming service.
