Be Intentional

Forge your path in the direction you wish to see it go: “When it came to my GCSE, I chose textiles, and for my A-levels, I chose creative subjects—and did a foundation course—before I started a BA in fashion,” Priya says.

Build a Portfolio

“Your portfolio should reflect what you are putting out into the world,” Priya says. For her, this means thinking about what makes people—and the planet—better. Priya’s design mood boards focus on narrowing a vision and drawing on different elements to solidify and master the outcome.

Form Good Relationships

“Being a people person helps, and being able to form good relationships with others will always work to your advantage,” With a rapidly growing design studio in the heart of London, Priya prizes certain attributes when expanding her team: “I look for eagerness, passion, and organisation”—and, like her brand, somebody who is “part of the culture and the community.”
