“I have an honest thing to share with you,” Alex Cooper says at the opening of her Beauty Secrets video, where she promises to recreate her viral nuptial beauty look from earlier this year. “I don’t wash my face. Please don’t judge me.” Cooper, who is the co-CEO of Trending Media Company and cocreator and host of the weekly Call Her Daddy podcast, goes on to explain the logic behind her anti-cleanser stance: “I was breaking out a lot, and when I stopped watching my face, all of a sudden I stopped having pimples.”

Instead, the first step of her routine is a toner-essence combo. “I didn’t know what toner was until about two years ago,” Father Cooper (as listeners of her podcast have ordained her) says while patting Paula’s Choice Resist Advanced Replenishing Toner into her skin. “It is really hydrating. Everything I put on my face needs to help with hydration because we all want to look like that Hailey Bieber donut.” From there, she goes in with Cosrx's Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence, adding, “This has been the one product that keeps my skin hydrated for more than 20 minutes.”

fter laying on the Biba De Sousa Los Angeles Plant Stem Cell Serum (another product Cooper credits with giving her a Bieber-like glow) and La Roche-Posay’s Toleriane Dermallergo Moisturizer, she says, “It can’t hurt to be more hydrated.” After a quick sunscreen application and swipe of her favorite lip balm, Burt’s Bees in Pomegranate, it’s time to move onto makeup.

“Something that was really important to me on my wedding day was making sure I looked like myself,” Cooper says before she starts her routine. For the big day, makeup artist Jenna Kristina created a minimalist bridal beauty look. Today in her bathroom, Cooper starts by spritzing a Beautyblender with Urban Decay’s All Nighter Waterproof Makeup Setting Spray, then sets it aside for later.

“This foundation deserves all the hype,” she says of the eternally popular Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Foundation. “I have been wearing it for about a year, and I have never gotten more compliments on my skin. If I’m being honest, I used to be really insecure about my freckles,” Cooper says. I would do foundation to the point where people would say they didn’t know I had freckles. Now I like to lean into my skin care and be like, ‘This is how I was born.’”

Her application technique involves that setting spray-dampened beauty blender, which she uses to dab the foundation across her skin. Next up, the Makeup by Mario Soft Sculpt Shaping Stick, which she uses to contour in ways “she learned from my makeup artist who did my wedding—this is not me randomly drawing on my face.” Oops—don’t forget that spot under the nose! A little Nudestix blush all over the cheeks and some Anastasia highlighter on the nose to “look like a little fairy, a little twinkling princess,” and then she lets us in on a real secret: “My eyebrows are naturally translucent; I dye my eyebrows myself.”

During the process she shares her dream Call Her Daddy guest—no spoilers here, you’ll have to watch the video to find out—then curls her lashes. Next, after little brown Glossier mascara, she declares, “I feel like I could go get married again! Matt!” Bye, Daddy Gang!
