How to Make Your Wardrobe Cozy and Presentable, According to Gigi Hadid
Released on 12/01/2022
Hello Vogue, it's Gigi.
And this is what I wear in seven days.
[upbeat music]
Okay, this is my, I guess, everyday Gigi look.
I think this is where most of my looks start.
A pair of my favorite jeans, these are ETICA, and a T-shirt.
This is from our Guest in Residence ski drop.
And yeah, this is how I start in the morning
and then I kind of build from there.
So let's build.
Kinda like this big polka dot...
No, we'll get there. We'll get there.
These are the new Tom Brown collection.
And I was in the office the other day
and just asked if I could babysit these for the week
'cause they're so fun.
We're gonna try on all three for you
and then you vote at home
if I made the right decision.
Let me know.
Okay.
Okay. Okay. Maybe.
My dinosaur earring.
Virgil, my buddy.
Maybe green's fun.
Or just a orange.
Yeah, this is like a very everyday Gigi outfit.
This is when my stylist, Mimi, probably wants to cry.
I can do the green shoe if I do the green necklace.
A lot of my jewelry is from small awesome brands
that I really just like to mix and match together.
Mix your jewels high and low.
I still have two shoes on. Sorry.
I like how the gold goes with my random gold chain.
Yeah, I could leave it with this
or I could put on one crazy, another crazy earring.
Is that weird?
No, I love it.
It's weird, but I love it.
My casual everyday activity I would do in this outfit?
In New York, probably like walk to the grocery store,
get some lunch with friends.
If I'm with Kai, go to the park.
[upbeat music]
All right, I think this look I'm gonna call office hours.
I just recently became a skirt person.
But I just wear long skirts so we're getting into it.
But this is like the new me, a skirt person.
One thing you'll also notice about me,
if you care about what I wear,
is that I wear the same things a lot.
So I'll like restyle.
Especially in the same weeks,
I'll get into like one piece and like do it a lot of ways.
I just like to make it a little bit funky
so it just feels like me.
I feel like, you know, it keeps it chic with the colors.
The shapes aren't too juvenile,
which some of my jewelry can get,
and it just keeps it like chic but still funky.
But she's going to get the bread
so she needs a good bag for it.
So yeah, I'm going to the office. I'm going to a meeting.
I would walk in like this and stand in the elevator with...
Hold on.
You see, with the earring, it's still like, I'm fine. Shh.
And these glasses are...
These are Chrome Hearts. I actually stole them from Bella.
Don't tell anyone. Just between us.
You guys know at this point,
I'm a fan of like putting the most basic stuff
under a cool piece and making it look like you tried.
And like you always look like you're trying
if you're in a black leather, almost floor length jacket.
Bye.
[upbeat music]
Okay, so this is what I would call
my off-duty fashion month look.
It's kind of like I'm trying to be a little bit chic,
but I also can't wear anything tight or uncomfortable
or that's like hard to take off or put back on.
We're changing like 10 times a day.
There's like a lot going on
so you need to be like a little bit cozy.
Have my Guest in Residence cashmere vest
and just like a kind of cargo-y, baggy jean.
And then we're in such uncomfortable shoes
that like you can't be, in between shows,
uncomfortable with what you chose to wear.
So I usually go for like a sneaker
or these are like vintage, really worn-in.
Cute. And simple bag.
Sometimes during shows,
I'll wear something like a lot bigger
if I want to bring like a book and lunch.
Glasses is big for me.
For some people, this might like not be that,
you know, they look almost the same.
But one's more like fashion, serious business.
This is a bit more sporty.
Yeah, this is.. See it is different, right?
Okay. Yeah, I'm going to work.
It's easy to put on. Easy to take off.
If I see Anna, she won't be like, You're the worst.
[upbeat music]
Okay so now, we are going to build a look
that I'm gonna call Winter Wonderland.
Which starts with this piece from our Guest in Residence
ski drop.
This was like a dream come true to make.
This is like for all moms and all people
that just wanna be cozy all the time.
I'm gonna make it chic.
I'm not gonna wear it like how I would wear it
if I was like mom-ing it.
This is chic. You can go to work in this.
Again, me, the coziest person you know.
This boot is Prada, baby.
This vest is DKNY. This jacket is Pele.
Do I put a Prada earring with it for no reason?
How cute is she?
Cute.
And then I see this is where like...
sporty glasses come in.
I feel like that's right.
Do I need a necklace? No, no. Stop.
Prada. Prada, right? Right?
The white bag was kind of more random and I love it. Cute.
[upbeat music]
I'm calling this look feeling colorful, feeling funky.
I think there's like some days that I wake up
just feeling like I really wanna be bright
so I would choose something like this.
Again, still comfortable.
I put it on. This is a full AMIRI look.
I put it on with these Prada boots,
but now I'm kind of feeling...
like these Alex Wang boots are quite...
Yeah, they're cooler.
Why? Don't know.
I would wear this like maybe to a friend's art show
or something where you have to be like a little bit formal.
Is it bad that this is like the most formal I get?
You guys, I wore a skirt today.
This is Jacquie Aiche, my favorite jeweler in the world.
Well I've like hung out at her office with her,
seeing her design.
Obviously when you see her work,
you know that she's just such a creative person
and loves what she does so much.
This is a Susan Alexandra rose bottle.
It also has a little rose glass and a rose.
So much of me getting dressed is putting on random jewelry.
Okay, I'm done.
[upbeat music]
Alrighty. This I would call mom on duty.
This is what I would put on probably at the farm
to drive into the city with my baby girl.
We get in for nap time.
And then after nap time, we go to the city in the park.
These are Reese Cooper. Love.
This is Guest in Residence. My socks are Guest in Residence.
I always have a funky sock.
Especially with Kai because I'm a cool mom.
Maybe when I get to the city,
I might try to like make it a bit cooler.
Mom on duty, you need a lot of pockets.
A different snack in each pocket.
Activities, sticker book, wet wipes.
I just keep layering when I go to the park.
'Cause like you don't wanna be the boring mom
'cause you're cold.
Cute. That's how I roll.
See you in the streets.
[upbeat music]
Okay, so I'm calling this look...
going to a friend's b-day party or something super fun look.
This is Jade Cropper, who I've been wearing a lot.
She's an upcoming designer who makes awesome stuff.
I like to look sexy and cute,
but, again, I just always need to be comfortable.
Like I cannot be messing with something.
And usually I would put like...I love an accessories moment.
But I just think there's a lot going on on top.
We have these ties.
Who needs a ring when you have sleeves like this?
And yeah, I have somewhere to be.
I'm like definitely a dancer,
especially with my friends,
especially like in the darkest of corners.
I'm a good dancer when I think no one's watching.
See you in the darkest corner of the club.
[upbeat music]
Alrighty guys, so that's what I kind of wear in a week.
See ya.
I'm gonna show you how I take the coziest thing I could wear
and make it look presentable to the fashion world.
Put a little coat over it.
Also spice it up a bit. Oh, there's something in here.
Please hold.
Chic and so cozy.
You're the coziest person in the plane.
You're the coziest person in the restaurant.
Love it.
Do I go that way? Okay.
